Community Garden Build Day on MLK Service Weekend

By Trumpet Blog Staff

There’s a garden growing on Chartres and Charbonnet, and it will benefit our community by providing a safe place where neighbors can come together, a healthy greenspace instead of blight and providing land for gardeners to grow fruits, veggies and plants.

The Guerrilla Garden

5723 Chartres Street at Charbonnet

January 14, 9am-3pm

January 16, 9am-3pm

Earn community service hours while honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy of service by working together to develop this community garden space. You will find out more about the Guerrilla Garden, help install a rain garden, help dig a new pathway, sign up to be a gardener, meet the neighbors! For more information, call 504-994-7745.

You may contact The Trumpet Blog Staff at thetrumpet@npnnola.com or call 504-940-2207.
