NPN and the Red Cross's Neighborhood Disaster Preparedness Event was a huge success last night !

Residents learned about the 18 things that everyone should have when evacuating and the importance of assuming leadership roles in one's own community in the event of an emergency -- meaning that every neighborhood should have one or more "evacuation specialist."

Rebuilding Information Station also gave several helpful tips on how to "hurricane proof" your home.
